Description

Meghdoota: The dark clouds bearing rains is the messenger of lovers. One of the demi gods punished by the Kubera was compelled to stay on the earth for a period of one year. While residing on the Ramgiri mountain, he was separated from his beautiful wife, his love. To fill up the gap, he made the cloud his messenger and started sending her messages through it. His messages contain not only his never ending love for her, but he also describes about city and his surroundings. Rutu Samhar: This is the first poetic work by Kalidasa. It exposes the effects of the all the seasons on the universe and human minds. He explains in great details the nature, its effects on the young minds and the powerful feelings they experience thereafter. The fiercest come together in order to protect themselves from the adversities of the nature. Kalidasa has coloured the canvas with beautiful shades of life.Balcharitam: As the name suggests, the work transmits the childhood of Lord Krishna at Vrindavana and Mathura. The residents believed in the divine qualities and the reincarnation of the great god as a human. All the incidents which had a quality of being miraculous are revealed here.
