Product Description
The third Mahakavya is Kiratarjuneeyam by Bharvi. It talks about Arjuna (अर्जुन), the third and the mightiest Pandava (पाण्डव) andaand his confrontation with Lord Shiva. At the end of this conflict, Lord Shiva blesses Arjuna. Bharvi has painted a vivid picture of the fierceness and dedication that Arjuna had shown while fighting against the mighty Lord Shiva disguised as the Kirata. He succeeds in colouring the ferocious colours of a battle field. He has used variety of stanza styles. This has indeed increased the difficulty level of Kiratarjuneeyam. Nevertheless, it is full of meaningful subhashitas (सुभाषित) like ‘सहसा विदधीत न क्रियामविवेकः परमापदां पदम्’ , addadding to the glory of Sanskrit literature.
